William + ArchieWhere it all started
Hikitalo was born from William's passion for saunas and their unique ability to bring people together while enhancing wellbeing. A third place, away from home and work, where you can slow down and connect.
The social connection is what it's all about for me. You can sit next to a total stranger and have a proper conversation, or feel completely connected without saying a word, all while getting the benefits of deep heat. I'd missed a safe space like this in my life without even knowing it.
With roots in both Wales and Holland, Will spent his school holidays visiting Wales, often coming to Porthcawl to surf. His experiences with saunas across different countries, combined with a pivotal encounter in Latin America with a Finn who shared insights into their sauna culture, inspired him to bring his vision for Hikitalo to life back in Porthcawl.
