So happy to have found a great sauna! Having grown up with sauna culture in Europe, I'm please to see Hikitalo brining it to Wales. And the location of it, overlooking the sandy beach is amazing.

What a fantastic spot for a sauna. We were made to feel really welcome and wished that we had booked an hour slot instead of half hour. Can’t wait to return 😁

Great location, easy to book, easy to reach. Great experience and amazing view of the sea from inside the sauna. Recommend checking the tide as there’s a VERY long walk to the sea during low-tide (if you want a refreshing dip in between saunas)

A very “cool” way to spend an hour!! Get too hot, then run into the sea for a quick dip or have a cold shower outside the cabin. Superb views and great coffee next door. Grab a bag of chips and curry sauce on the way home. 9 or 10 beaches to walk along (tarmac), surf or bodyboard and lots of free parking. Great venue. Great customer service!!! Best on the south Wales coast….. 🏆🏆

Whatever time of day, whether you cool down in the sea, the shower, the outside air or stay hot, you will feel SO much better for visiting this sauna. The views, the people the experience is first class. What are you waiting for? Book it… you won’t regret it.

Absolutely amazing experience, will was a great host explaining about the different aromas he was mixing with the water and was extremely knowledgeable telling us about his experiences around the world with different types of saunas, you could tell that it’s a passion for him and not just a job, the location was second to none sitting there watching the waves crash on the beach was amazing, can’t wait to book again.

This sauna is so excellent. The view from the window is sublime and I usually meet really sound people in the community sessions. What’s really important to me is that it is really hot and the connection to sauna lineage is articulated really well and integrated into the experience. I couldn’t love it more. Top stars for the view, the friendly staff and the sea being right there for skipping out for cold dips. ❤️🔥

Wonderful experience at Hikitalo Sauna, highly recommend to try.... It felt so refreshing and relaxing to be able to cold water dip and then have then have the warmth of the sauna. I will be returning! Thank you ❤️

Where it all started...
The story behind Hikitalo
Hikitalo was born from William's passion for saunas and their unique ability to bring people together while enhancing wellbeing. With roots in both Wales and Holland, Will spent his school holidays visiting Wales, often coming to Porthcawl to surf. His experiences with saunas across different countries, combined with a pivotal encounter in Latin America with a Finn who shared insights into their sauna culture, inspired him to bring his vision for Hikitalo to life back in Porthcawl.
